Learning and Student Experience Roadmap
2024–2032
A bold and inclusive vision for learning across all disciplines.
The Learning and Student Experience Roadmap outlines UQ's priorities and focus areas for teaching, learning, and student support, experiences and engagement through to 2032.
The Roadmap was developed in response to the UQ Strategic Plan 2022-2025. It aligns with existing strategies across the University, including the Research Roadmap, The Queensland Commitment, Reconciliation Action Plan and Technology Master Plan.
Our vision
UQ has a proud history of providing a dynamic educational environment that encourages our students to excel as leaders.
The Learning and Student Experience Roadmap highlights the opportunities to expand and develop our educational offerings, encouraging students from increasingly diverse backgrounds to join our inclusive community.
Central to this Roadmap is the holistic development of our students.
Irrespective of their background or pathway to higher education, we aspire for our students to realise the skills, capabilities and attributes that will ensure they are well-prepared to shape our communities. Our approach will be achieved through inclusive engagement with all students.
The Roadmap is structured around 5 key themes which aim to nurture:
- an inclusive and vibrant student community
- an enriching educational experience
- transformative curricula, pedagogies and assessment
- outstanding, purpose designed learning environments and systems
- recognising and rewarding innovation, and supporting staff and partners.

Implementing the Roadmap
We encourage the University community to consider ways the Learning and Student Experience Roadmap can be implemented and embedded in strategic activities as we work toward 2032.
