Key responsibilities

Student complaints, grievances, appeals and misconduct

  • Provide administrative support to students and staff engaged with the University’s student grievance, appeal and misconduct processes.
  • Manage UQ Resolute (the University’s online system for the management of student grievances, appeals and misconduct cases, and investigations conducted by external agencies), and provide technical support for system users.
  • Manage the University’s student misconduct register for the purposes of records management, reporting and analysis.
  • Liaise with the Office of the Queensland Ombudsman in relation to the Ombudsman’s investigations into student complaints. 

Policies and procedures

Secretariat support

  • Provide secretariat support to the Academic Registrar, the Senate Discipline Appeals Committee, the Disciplinary Board and the Senate Student Appeals Committee.

Staff support

  • Provide training for academic and professional staff in the management of student misconduct, grievances and appeals, and monitor consistency of practices across the University.
