Carl Sherwood
School of Economics
Carl Sherwood combines 15 years of professional engineering experience with 14 years of teaching at UQ. He creates a stimulating and meaningful learning experience by using a contextualized, interactive storytelling approach to help first-year economics students overcome their fear of learning statistics.
Carl really tries to link what might ordinarily be bland concepts to things that students are doing outside university.

Dr Vincent Wheatley
School of Mechanical and Mining Engineering
Dr Vincent Wheatley teaches advanced topics in mechanical and aerospace engineering using scenarios from industry or research to ensure every student in his class is intrigued and excited. His approach encourages them to apply their knowledge to topics that interest them.
Vincent is always there to help and he's always happy to explain something just one more time. Even if he's busy, he makes time for his students.

For many students, work integrated learning is essential. Dr Anne Hill has over 10 years of experience creating simulated clinical learning environments so her students are able to help their clients reach their goals while delivering positive change in their local communities.
